Pastor Mrs. Miatta Kiazolu Sirleaf – Chief Executive Officer, who has a calling as a Pastor and a vision to educate less privileged women and girls of low status vulnerable in society, for better Liberia and the global society at large, formed herself in a refugee Camp of Buduburam in Accra, Ghana. She was moved to establish a skills-training center as an economic empowerment program for women and girls with limited resources to fight against domestic violence. It was in this vein that Mrs. Sirleaf founded New Liberian Women Organization Skills Training Center on July 21, 2003, at the Buduburan Refugee Settlement in Accra, Ghana.
Mrs. Sirleaf, a graduate of R. C. Lawson and IPS International School of Public Administration with long years of public service as a social worker, a resource mobilizer trained by the African Women Development Fund in Accra, Ghana and around the world. Mrs. Sirleaf is married. She is a mother, a God-fearing woman, an advocate, and a motivational speaker.
After a decade of fighting for the rights of women freedom and equality, she has also strengthened Liberian women through skills training through which many are self-employed in and out of Liberia contributing to their male counterparts.
